The Law Line is staffed by persons trained in the law. It is intended to provide legal information that will assist the caller in resolving any legal issue confronting that caller. This telephone legal information service is available by calling the Law Line at (867) 668-5297 or toll free at (866) 667-4305. It is operated from the Library at Yukon College in Whitehorse. Hours of operation are Mondays and Wednesdays through Fridays from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm and Tuesdays from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.

The Law Line is intended to provide information about legal matters and not for giving legal advice. Legal advice can only come from a lawyer hired privately for the specific purpose of dealing with a legal issue. The Law Line cannot and does not act as lawyer for any caller and does not give legal advice.
